To pursue the minor, you must complete 15 credits
You are required to take the following 6 credits:
- HDFS 2100 or HDFS 2100H or HDFS 2100E - Relationship Development, Maintenance, and Dissolution (formerly Dating, Mating, and Communicating: Relationships in Families)

HDFS 2200 or HDFS 2200H or HDFS 2200E - Introduction to Lifespan Development
You should choose 9 credits from the 3000 and 4000-level courses listed in the Bulletin.
*Additional 2000-level courses beyond 2100 and 2200 do not satisfy minor requirements because the university requies:
- A minor must contain at least 9 hours of upper division coursework.
- Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas I through V may not be counted as coursework in the minor.
- Courses taken in Core Area VI may be counted as coursework in the minor.
