Why I chose my major

I chose Social Entrepreneurship for Consumer Well-Being because I wanted a major
that combined my passion for helping others with my interests in leadership,
communication, and creating a positive change. I’ve always been drawn to work that has
a purpose behind it, and this major has allowed me to learn how to turn ideas into
meaningful programs and organizations that can improve people’s lives. I also love that
FACS takes a very people-centered approach to education. My major has given me
opportunities to understand real-world problems while also learning how to develop
creative and sustainable solutions. Ultimately, I chose this major because I knew it
would prepare me not only for a career, but also to be a leader who can make a lasting
impact in the community

What I like most about FACS

What I like most about FACS is how personal and people-centered it is. FACS gives
students the opportunity to explore so many different interests while always focusing on
improving people’s lives and strengthening communities. I love that this college
encourages us to take what we learn in the classroom and apply it to real-world
situations. I’ve also really valued the supportive environment within FACS and the
relationships I’ve been able to build with professors, classmates, and other students. It
feels like a college where everyone is genuinely passionate about what they do, and that
makes me proud to be a part of it. FACS has helped me make this huge campus feel like
a family!
