- Why I chose my major
After realizing I didn't want to be an elementary school teacher, HDFS seemed like the perfect fit for me to incorporate my passions for families and children with other helping professions. I love learning about how the context we all live in can affect our lives, and it's been a joy being in a major that is relevant to each day of my life..
- What I like most about FACS
Family is in our name! I love how FACS is a place where I can feel seen and known by my professors and the staff/faculty. Getting involved in FACS has been one of the best decisions I could have made in my college career. From getting to know my fellow FACS students to gaining relevant experience through work/internships, networking with FACS alumni and even just spending time in Dawson Hall have all been incredibly impactful experiences.
- Post-graduation plans
I will pursue a master's of arts in Nonprofit Management & Leadership through the Double Dawgs program and will graduate in summer 2025. I hope to pursue a career in development, fundraising, or alumni relations.
