- Why I chose my major
I chose my major because I wanted to learn in-depth how nutrition contributes to the health of our community. As a pre-med student, I would like to better understand how nutrition functions as preventative healthcare and how I can share that knowledge with others. I have loved all my classes in FACS because of the enthusiastic professors who inspire me to dive deeper into nutrition and explore the role that it plays in our well-being every day.
- What I like most about FACS
I love how homey and welcoming the FACS community feels. I experienced this from my very first class in Dawson Hall, even before I knew anyone in the college. The smaller class sizes made it easy to truly connect with both my peers and professors. Over time, that close-knit feeling has only grown as I continue seeing familiar faces in my classes each semester and building relationships with the professors. There’s a real sense of comfort in getting to know people in one class and knowing you’ll keep learning alongside them throughout college.
